GIRLFANS England – About the Edition

Shortlisted for the Football Art Prize 2026 and selected for exhibition at Millennium Gallery, Sheffield, before touring to the National Football Museum later this year, GIRLFANS England is a special national edition of the long-running fanzine co-created and creatively directed by Jacqui McAssey and Zoë Hitchen.

Bringing together photography, writing and original artwork from across both the women’s and men’s game, it captures a pivotal moment in fan culture as England’s football landscape continues to evolve following UEFA Women’s EURO 2025.

This edition features work from an intergenerational network of women and non-binary creatives, personally invited and commissioned by the editors.
